Chasing Butterflies: Sponsor the Butterfly Count
Since 2010, the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science (TINS) has hosted an annual butterfly count centered on Osgood Swamp and spanning much of the southern Tahoe Basin. This colorful community science event has three main goals:
Monitor butterfly populations over time
Bring together butterfly lovers to share knowledge and joy
Raise public awareness about butterfly conservation
Now, we’re inviting a donor to sponsor this project! Your support would help fund outreach, educational materials, data collection, and participant support. As the sponsor, you’ll be directly backing butterfly conservation, community science, and environmental education in the Tahoe region.
Want to be part of something beautiful? Sponsor the count—and help butterflies thrive.
