We can utilize in-kind equipment donations for our programs and day-to-day operations. The following is a list of needs that we have identified that will help with our research projects or assist us in providing high quality education and outreach programs to children, residents, and visitors to the Tahoe region. If you have items that are not on this list but that you are interested in donating, please inquire so that we may assess whether it is something we could use. Classroom Education & Community Programs

1. 15-passenger van for education and community programs
2. Plastic fruit for bat programs

3. First Aid Kits for summer camps, nature walks, and research 

     a. 3-5 Lightweight, for backpacks
     b. 1-2 Full size, for vehicles

4. Field Guides - Birds, Mammals, Geology, Astronomy, Sierra Nevada, Insects, Herpetology (amphibians and reptiles), etc.
5. Microscopes, hand-lenses, bug containers, etc.
6. Insect nets 
7. GPS units
8. Wildlife specimens – birds, mammals, etc. What to do, if you find one:

     a. For birds, double zip lock them and put in freezer
     b. For mammals, don’t pick it up, but call TINS asap
     c. Animal pelts

9. Old nature magazines for summer camp journaling (National Geographic, Audubon, etc.)
10. Art supplies:

         Colored construction paper, colored markers, glue sticks, crayons, yarn, paint brushes, acrylic pain, tye-dye kits, scissors, hole punch, beads, face paint, and just about anything else might be useful to us - feel free to ask! 

11. Large portable screen and stand for PowerPoint presentations
12. Misc. scientific equipment for lab or field

14. Plastic/rubbermade tubs for storage, misc. sizes
