Why become a member? Annual donations help support our day-to-day operations and core programs. By becoming a member, you will help TINS achieve its mission of advancing the natural history, conservation, and ecosystem knowledge of the Tahoe region, through science, education, and outreach. We believe that this, in turn, helps foster active and improved care, understanding, and stewardship of the Tahoe region from individuals, communities, and land managers, ultimately making Tahoe a better place for us all, including future generations. Membership dues are tax-deductible, and not only do they help TINS achieve its mission directly, but every dollar donated can be used to leverage additional funds through challenge grants. Consider giving a TINS gift membership to thank a friend or co-worker, celebrate the retirement or birthday of a family member, or welcome a new neighbor with a unique housewarming gift.
