Other Special Events

TINS participates in special events throughout the year, typically sponsored or hosted by other organizations. From time to time, TINS also hosts or sponsors our own special events, most notably our Lake Tahoe Bird Festival (an International Migratory Bird Day event), which had over 500 participants in its first year! In 2011, we coupled the event with a Native Species Day, making it a Wild Tahoe Weekend! Planning is well under way for the 3rd annual Wild Tahoe Weekend, to be held on June 8-9, 2013.
