Volunteer Opportunities

As a small organization with a limited staff, volunteers can be tremendously helpful in achieving our mission and broadening our reach

We will do our best to keep you apprised as volunteer opportunities develop. To hear about new opportunities as they arrive, you can join our volunteer mailing list!

Here are some upcoming volunteer opportunities:

Office volunteers to assist us with a variety of administrative tasks

Outreach volunteers to serve as trail docents, initially assisting us by co-leading natural history outings and then eventually leading their own hikes!

Education volunteers will have the opportunity to help out with school group field trips and summer camps 

Citizen science volunteers for those looking to get involved in data collection. We have many Citizen Scienceprojects, such as the Christmas Bird Count and the Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey

    • We are getting started with the California Beetle Project, looking for sampling localities and people to help us identify insects once it starts warming up a bit!
